On June 19, 2024, we participated in an awareness-raising session organized by the Ministry of Youth, in collaboration with the provincial youth councils and their partners, on the implementation of the youth, peace and security agenda in support of the MONUSCO Monusco-UN disengagement process in the province of South Kivu, DRC.
This meeting brought together the Minister of Youth, the Civil Affairs section of MONUSCO, civil society and youth organizations. It provided an opportunity to discuss ways to further involve young people in this transition process.
At the end of the discussions, we made several key recommendations to ensure better consideration of the priorities and proposals of young people in the transition process in South Kivu.
