Continuing our journey with the #WasichanaNaAmani project, funded by The Kvinna till Kvinna and Foundation United Nations Peacebuilding we recently conducted a sensitization session specifically for 25 community leaders in Kabare, comprising 20 young women and 5 young men.
This session followed our training for young women and aimed to raise awareness about gender equality through the #SaSaTogether approach. We emphasized the need for community support in amplifying the voices of young women in peacebuilding and politics. Beyond training, young women require a community that understands and supports their struggles.

Led by our coordinator, Grâce Maroy this first session served as a launch and introduction to the initial phase of SASA Together. The discussions were vibrant and engaging, focusing on the critical role of community leaders in fostering gender equality.

P.S. For those who were asking, yes, we had men participating! We hope to continue counting on your support because when we work together, we achieve more. Women are not looking to replace men; we simply want to be accepted and recognized for our contributions. There is room for everyone at the table—not as a privilege, but as a right, because we have valuable insights and contributions to offer.
